Richard C. Alt
Richard C. Alt graduated from the State University of New York at Farmingdale with an A.A.S. degree in Landscape Design and began his career with Lewis Tree Service in 1973, serving as Branch Manager of the Batavia office, in charge of all tree, landscape, and spray services for residential customers, municipalities, and various corporations. In 1975, Rich was named Branch Manager of the Long Island office where he supervised all phases of municipal and utility tree and landscape work. In 1978, Rich was promoted to Vice President of Lewis Tree Service, in charge of the Long Island Division and New England Division, and in 1987, the New Jersey and Mid-Atlantic Divisions were added to Richard’s responsibilities. In 1989, he was promoted to Regional Vice President of Operations in Region II, which consisted of five divisions. Rich was promoted to Vice President/General Manager of all Lewis Tree operations in July of 1994, and in September 1995, Rich was promoted to President of Lewis Tree Service, Inc. In 1999, he received the title of Chairman and in 2008 was named CEO.
Rich is a member of the International Society of Arboriculture, the New York, Penn-Del, Southern, New England and Western Chapters, the Utility Arborist Association, and serves as the company representative to the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA).
